Tim Sandys is a Dutch singer-songwriter with a pop and (neo) soul sound. His debut EP ‘What I'm Trying to Say’ will be released in late spring 2021, including four self-written songs. The title is named after the first single of the EP and also a nod to the freedom singing gives in comparison to speaking. The things you can say with a song are sometimes more sincere and acceptable than if you would speak them out. What Tim is trying to say, he sings in his songs.
Tim started singing and playing the guitar when he was a teenager. Slowly but surely he wrote his owns songs. His music is mainly inspired by pop, soul and jazz musicians such as Sam Smith, Lianne La Havas and Selah Sue. Most of his songs have a melancholic tone, which are expressed beautifully with his warm and sensitive voice.
